By accessing or using Uburu ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, you may not use the Service. Uburu reserves the right to update these terms at any time. Continued use of the Service following any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
2. Description of Service
Uburu is an AI-powered personal finance platform that allows users to upload bank statements, categorise transactions, track savings goals, and receive AI-generated financial insights. The Service is provided for personal, non-commercial use only unless a separate commercial agreement is in place.
3. Account Registration
To access most features of Uburu, you must register for an account. You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information during registration and to keep your account credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account. You must notify us immediately of any unauthorised use.
4. Data and Privacy
Your financial data is encrypted end-to-end and never sold to third parties. By uploading bank statements, you grant Uburu a limited licence to process that data solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you. Please review our Privacy Policy for full details on how we collect, use, and protect your information.
5. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the Service to: (a) violate any applicable law or regulation; (b) upload false or misleading financial data; (c) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Service; (d) attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its systems; or (e) reproduce, duplicate, or resell any part of the Service without express written permission.
6. Intellectual Property
All content, features, and functionality of Uburu — including but not limited to the AI models, design, text, graphics, and software — are owned by Uburu Technologies Ltd and are protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, or reverse-engineer any part of the Service.
7. Subscription and Billing
Uburu offers an Access plan at $1 for the first month and a Full plan at $11.99/month. Subscriptions are billed monthly in advance. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period. We do not offer pro-rata refunds except where required by applicable law. Prices may change with 30 days' notice.
8. Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Uburu does not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses. AI-generated financial insights are informational only and do not constitute financial, legal, or investment advice.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Uburu shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Service.
